TIPS 'N TIRPS - London, home away from home
London, our personal favourite. One of the most vibrant and international cities worldwide where different cultures and cuisines come together to find new and unexplored combinations.
Very hard to pick and choose our favourites here, as it has been our home for four years approximately. But we'll try to give you our best overview.
#1 Sexy Fish
Art filled restaurant in the heart of Mayfair. Most known for they robata grill and sushi but we loved it the most for their drinks. Their bartenders keep the menu on point and you can always find some new cool additions. Also make sure to make a trip to the ladies room, the mirror selfie is a must.
#2 Sessions Arts Club - Old Session House
A London landmark restored to splendour. Set in 18th Century courthouse in Clerkenwell, this restaurant and rooftop bar are to die for. A small menu that changes daily and a small wine and cocktail list, literally heaven on earth for the lovers of beautiful things.
#3 Coya - Mayfair
Peruvian restaurant with an international heart, has two sites in London but the Mayfair one has that extra kick to it thanks to its built in private members club. Chargrill and ceviche highly recommended.
#4 NAC Mayfair
An old style french bistro in the heart of London's city center. Weather its lunch, brunch or dinner this place never disappoints. We recommend the torched cauliflower and their cajun chicken (which is also halal). Very healthy yet very tasty.
#5 Bombay Bustle
Is it even a London trip without an Indian restaurant? Never! Bombay Bustle re-creates regional family recipes with the tastes plates ever. Plus the location is inspired by the Mumbai railway, so it's worth a visit just for that...
#6 Novikov Asian
A combination of flavours that vary all though the different pan asian cuisines, Novikov Asian will forever and always be one of my favourite spots in town. Honestly doesn't get any better.
#7 Din Tai Fung
Taiwanese food? Sign us in! The kingdom of dim sum and noodles, with any filling and condiment you may wish for. And no worries, if you happen not to be a fan of Xiao Long Bao (trust me tho, impossible not to love those) you can find plenty of other tasty meals.
#8 Sticks 'n Sushi
Copenhagen based sushi restaurant with multiple locations in London. They have the tastiest sharing platters but also a huge vegan selection. If you can't bring a date bring your mates!
#9 Roast
To be fully immersed in your British experience you have to get your dose of Sunday roast, it is literally the tastiest and most underrated hangover cure. Located near Tower Bridge Roast does not only serve one of the best roasts in town, it also allows you to have a breathtaking view on the city. Don't forget to head down to Borough Market after your feast, those chocolate strawberries are to tempting to say no!
