TIPS N' TRIPS - Forte dei Marmi, la dolce vita

Glamorous. Retro. Effortlessly chic.

Welcome to Forte dei Marmi—Italy’s answer to the Hamptons, but with a touch more nostalgia and a whole lot more dolce vita.

This jewel of the Tuscan coast, cradled between marble-topped mountains and the glittering sea, is where la dolce vita comes alive. Whether you’ve popped down for a weekend or spent countless summers here, chances are Forte has stolen a piece of your heart. One whiff of salty air or the memory of spaghetti alle arselle, and you’re right back under its spell.

We’re lucky enough to call this place our second home. So, who better than us to share our favorite spots for good food, sunset drinks, and those simple, perfect joys? Save this list—you can thank us later.

#1 Santa Maria

Traditional yet undeniably chic, Santa Maria is more than a beach club—it’s a vibe. Perfect for a breezy lunch date, sunset aperitivo with a DJ set, or dinner with your toes in the sand. Here, elegance meets Versilia’s timeless charm for a cozy, unforgettable experience.

#2 Osteria del Mare

You haven’t truly done Forte until you’ve tasted their gnocchi agli scampi. A dish so good it unites the whole family—from toddlers to nonni. Creative yet rooted in heritage, Osteria del Mare feels like home. Bonus: it’s great for little ones too.

#3 Alle Boe

Chasing sunsets? Alle Boe is your golden hour HQ. This casual yet lively beach spot is ideal for an aperitivo—picture Americano in hand, toes in the sand, and catching up with old friends as the sky turns pink.

#4 Gelateria La Chicca

It’s a scientific fact: gelato cools you down on a hot day. So really, stopping at La Chicca is self-care. Whether you go for classic scoops or a refreshing ghiacciolo, it’s the sweetest way to beat the heat.

#5 Pasticceria Soldi

Invited to dinner? You know we’re showing up with dessert. Nothing beats Pasticceria Soldi’s crostata con crema e frutta fresca—pure heaven in every bite. Chocolate lovers, their Sacher Torte will change your life.

#6 Da Vale

Focaccine—basically the cooler, prettier sisters of focaccia. Small, round, and ridiculously addictive, they’re perfect for a snack, aperitivo, or topped with cheese and prosciutto for a quick bite. Pro tip: use them for scarpetta. No carb-shaming here.

#7 Bagno Annetta

Carmela’s spaghetti alle arselle = summer on a plate. Bagno Annetta is the ultimate lunch spot for groups. Just be patient—good things take time (and these are so worth the wait).

#8 Freak Cafe

Think edgy yet chic. Freak Café is your spot for after-dinner drinks with a DJ set, a little dancing, and maybe even a few shots. Cool vibes all around—it’s where the night takes on a life of its own.

#9 La Canniccia

The newest hotspot in town, La Canniccia is equal parts motor club, dinner destination, and live music venue. Come for a fun afternoon, stay for the DJ sets and glamorous evening crowd.
