TIPS 'N TRIPS - Summer Essentials

Whether you're heading off on a long holiday or escaping for a quick weekend away, this summer is all about effortless chic. Think a carefully curated selection of bold, versatile pieces that can be mixed and matched to reflect your personal style—dressed up for dinner or worn casually from beach to city.

We asked our founders to share the pieces they simply can't travel without. Here's what made the cut.

Victoria:

For me, a summer wardrobe is all about styling. I love investing in a few statement pieces that can be worn in completely different ways depending on the mood or occasion.

When I pack, versatility is everything. I want pieces that take up little space in my suitcase but give me endless outfit possibilities. A great pair of shorts, an oversized tee, a reversible bikini that can also be worn as a top, and lightweight layers are always the first things I reach for.

One of my biggest essentials is a silk scarf or foulard. It's probably the most versatile accessory you can pack. I wear it as a top, a headscarf, around my waist, tied onto my bag, or even wrapped around a ponytail. It instantly transforms any outfit while taking up almost no space.

I also believe a great pair of lightweight sunglasses is worth investing in. They're comfortable enough to wear all day and effortlessly elevate even the simplest look. And of course, I never travel without a bold pair of boots. They might not be the obvious choice for summer, but

they're perfect from day to night—you can wear them to the beach and then straight out for dinner or a night with friends.

Finally, never underestimate the power of beauty. Glowing skin and healthy hair are the best accessories you'll ever own. Shimmering body oils, luminous highlighters, and a glossy lip are my summer essentials. Nothing says summer quite like sun-kissed, glowing skin.

My favourite part is mixing unexpected textures and silhouettes—pairing beachwear with tailored pieces, dressing denim up with accessories, or throwing an oversized shirt over a bikini after a day in the sun. The best holiday outfits are the ones that feel effortless while still making a statement.

After all, the best suitcase isn't the fullest one—it's the smartest one.

For me, packing is an art form in itself. I don’t just throw things in a suitcase — I build a mini wardrobe of pieces that can carry me from a lazy beach morning to a dressed-up dinner without missing a beat.

This season I’m drawn to pieces with character: hand-painted textures, turquoise stones, and unexpected prints. Nothing too matchy, nothing too safe — just a handful of things that feel unmistakably mine wherever I wear them.

My biggest essential is a hand-painted long-sleeve top — no two are ever the same, and it instantly makes even the simplest outfit feel one-of-a-kind. I pair it with paisley bandana cargo jorts, which have become my go-to for that off-duty, lived-in look that still feels put together.

Jewellery does all the talking. A turquoise squash-blossom necklace and a matching cuff bracelet are the pieces I reach for again and again — bold, a little Southwestern, and they elevate even the most basic tee. An oversized cocktail ring is the finishing touch I never skip.

For bags, I go structured by day and sculptural by night: a pale buttery leather tote for the beach club, and a quilted monogram mini bag for dinner. A graphic logo cap keeps me covered on sun-soaked afternoons.

And of course, footwear does the heavy lifting — a sleek black knee-high boot for clubbing, and delicate khaki wraparound wedge sandals for golden-hour dinners. They might not be the obvious choice for summer, but they take you from day to night without missing a beat.

Finally, never underestimate the power of texture. A crochet-and-bead embellished dress is my statement piece for the trip — it’s the one item that turns a simple evening into an occasion.

At the end of the day, it’s not about how much you bring — it’s about choosing pieces that work as hard as you do.
