TIPS 'N TRIPS: See You In Paris?
Paris is the place for romantics. A city filled with art, great architecture, enchanting gardens and flaky pain a chocolate which never fail to make us smile. If this is not enough for you, Paris is also the capital of fashion, being historically renown for its timeless elegance and being the home of most haute couture houses and brands. Name a shop, limited edition or vintage piece and Paris will have it. We are also lucky enough to visit Paris at least twice a year and times spent at the trade show for work, call for shopping in the free time. Here are our favorite spots.
#1 Harpo Paris
If you’re us, this is heaven on earth. Not many have you may have heard of it, but Harpo is no. 1 when it comes to style, craft, class and authenticity. They only sell original They have been around since the 1970’s and opened in Rue de Turbigo in the 90’s, they are family owned and have always some novelties and some new gems. They are our fist stop whenever we land in the city!
#2 Le Bon Marche
Ready for the best homeward and design selection? There is literally anything that you can’t find at Le Bon Marche. They are always upfront and showing the most unique pieces and prints, just make sure you have that extra space in your luggage to take a few with you.
#3 Kith
They are a streetwear and lifestyle dojo brand. We always shop some of their menswear pieces and we love how they match with our denims. Plus their Paris flagship is their biggest store in Europe and just for their layout they deserve a visit. PS: it’s just a few steps away from our fave Chinese restaurant, Diep!
#4 The Frankie Shop
Despite the fact that their style is very contrasting to ours we LOVE the Frankie shop and their statement pieces. So take a stroll in the Marais and there you will find both their men’s and women’s flagship store. They always have good combination of designer pieces with a selection from all over the world and also of their staples. Thank us later :)
#5 Costes
Ok, we understand this is may sound weird, but inside the hotel lobby they curate a small selection of magazines, jewelry and branded music compilations which are the essence of chic.
#6 La Samaritaine
Also featured in season 2 of Emily in Paris la Samaritaine is a must! Here is you can literally find everything: emerging brands, high end & luxury, fine jewelry and exclusives. In addition to that, it also has home objects & furniture and a great food selection. If that isn’t enough to convince you, its architecture is 10/10.
#7 Nuovo
Paris most classy vintage store. We love their archive pieces, there is always so so much inspiration that there is no way you can go wrong.
#8 Merci
Last but not least. Merci is an independent concept boutique spread over three floors, they have a selection of clothes, accessories, home goods, and just about anything with prices range to fit many budgets. It also is the home of the cutest cafe, we simply love having a quick lunch there!
