TIPS 'N TRIPS - Mykonos, a fun summer escape
One of the world’s most cosmopolitan islands, it is actually crazy to think how fast its popularity has grown over the years. Safe to say they have it all: magical vibes, luxury accommodations, impeccabile services and one of the best party scenes. One thing it’s for sure, it’s sunsets are breathtaking and there is no way it will disappoint, weather you like to relax or you like to rave it up, it’s beauty and magic will definitely capture your heart!
#1 Alemagou
Located in Ftelia Beach, Alemagou is a great mix of party, relaxing vibes and sophistication. Bohemian vibes and a small number of beach beds widely spaced amongst each other. They offer both beach service or tables at their restaurant, which we recommend stopping by at. Highlight of their menu, their ‘Horta’ salad; a wild grass typical from Greece that tastes roughly like spinach, with vinegar, grated tomato and feta, something fresh and unique! As for parties, they have a residency by @blonsih with her @welcometoabracadabra every Monday, so make sure you don’t miss that one out ;)
#2 Zuma
Zuma never fails to impress, as always impeccable service, amazing food, and new vibrant drinks curated for the Mykonos location (I highly recommend the Semei Sour and the Bergamot Americano). Best highlight tho, the location: a stunning panoramic view featuring an infinity pool with sunbeds emerging where you can get a view of the prettiest sunsets. If you do not fancy dinner they are also open for lunch with a DJ that will bring immaculate vibes.
#3 Scorpios
Bohemian style luxury location located in Paraga beach. A little oasis with sandy beaches, stylish restaurant, live events and the most stunning boutique. Perfect from day to night; safe to say we are utterly obsessed. We highly recommend reserving way in advance and requesting a preference for their Private Beach in order to be super close to the sea. As for plates, their seafood calamarata is to die for.
#4 Kiki’s Tavern
A very local spot, located in Agios Sostis. Fresh grilled seafood and a very fancy salad bar with the most unique recipes. There are only a few tables which are located under a shady terrace and overlook the sea. They accept walk-ins only, but they are worth the wait.
#5 Pere Ubud
Sister restaurant of Pere Ubud in Glyfada, Athens, Pere Ubud Mykonos is located inside Kalesma, a luxury five star hotel in Ornos. The restaurant is open all-day for hotel guests and island visitors, we recommend going for dinner, make sure you order their lamb chops and their Detox Mule, a non-alcoholic drink to die for.
#6 Beef Bar
Eat and beach at Beef Bar Mykonos in Agios Ioannis beach, featuring a tired terrace, a display kitchen. Casual yet fancy atmosphere, all plates are imagined on a sharing concept to make sure to go there in a bigger group.
#7 Kastro’s
Probably the most instagrammed spot in Little Venice thanks to its outside garden. Location is a 10/10 with a view of the sunset and Mykonos windmills. We recommend a quick lunch stop after a shopping session, according to us it’s when it’s garden looks best.
#8 Spilia
A mediterranean food experience in a natural cave near the stunning Agia Anna beach. Amazing both for couples seeking a romantic date and for big groups for a fun afternoon partying.
#9 Shisu
Located inside the Myconian Imperial hotel near Elia Beach, Shisu is without a doubt the best Asian restaurant on the island. Freshest fish and a very traditional approach to Japanese plates makes visiting them a great culinary experience,
We highly recommend their sashimi and their king crab salad. For tuna fans, make sure you don’t miss out on their Toro as it astounding.
#10 The Garden
Best sunset views at their outdoor terrace garden. Great for an aperitivo, you can also order some cool bites to accompany your drinks.
